G5 Interview : Mike “Tinky” Taylor

In 2012, we have recruited many talented and good looking members, also commonly known as G5. This week, we look at Mike “Tinky” Taylor, a guy whom went to same University as me and to get to know him a little better…

Q: Your all-time favourite film?
Godfather II

Q: You’re marooned on a desert island, what 3 essential items would you take with you?

iPad, hair gel, burgers

Q: If you could be a famous Superhero, who would you be and why?

That big dude made out of stone. No messing.

Q: What was your first job?

Disregarding a paper round, Internship at the NHS. I abandoned it for banking the next summer and never gone back!

Q: What song do you secretly like but too embarrassed to admit?

I touch myself, the Divynyls

Q: How did you first join the Pandas? How did you find us?

July 2011, found via your Facebook pics at the Hong Kong event

Q: How did find your first training session?

Giraffes on skateboards had better co-ordination. Tough stuff

Q: How is your technique coming along?

Still pretty rubbish, but it gets a lot better each time

Q: …had your first dunk? When is your birthday?

In July last year. My b’day is 29 March but I’ll have a retrospective one if you insist 😉

Q: Why do you want to paddle for the Windy Pandas? What are your goals and objectives?

I’m barely playing Rugby anymore and needed a team sport, I’m looking to do an overseas event and Hong Kong would be best

Q: The squad is getting bigger every year, why do you think other people want to join WP?

Others will be attracted for the same reason I was. I think the willingness of yourself, Wally and Vo to integrate new people comes across in the online channels.

Q: What are you going to bring to the Windy Pandas in 2012?

Shouting. I’m a good team man and I like the hard work.

Q: What is your WP nickname come from or has any special meaning? If not, any suggestions?

Tinky, Tayls and von Taylorhausen have all been used for me from sport in the past. Kee has a suggestion, have a word with him! You can’t give yourself a nickname.

Q: If a film was about your life, which famous actor would play you and why?

Some a***hole said David Baddeil once. I don’t see it myself.
